Cookie Policy

This policy explains the small files our website saves on your browser, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can turn them off.

Last updated: October 11, 2026 · Effective: October 11, 2026

Cookies at a glance

The short version. The full list is below.

Analytics only, no ads

We use cookies to see how people use our site. We don’t run ad or retargeting cookies.

We can't see who you are

Analytics tools give us totals and patterns, not names or contact details.

The site works without them

Block or delete our cookies anytime. You can still browse and order.

Orders don't need cookies

You order on Messenger or by phone, so no cookie is needed to buy from us.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website saves on your browser when you visit. They let the site remember things between page views, such as whether you’ve visited before. Some are set by the website you’re on (first-party cookies). Others are set by another company’s service the site uses (third-party cookies).

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies for two things:

  • Analytics: to count visits, see which pages and cake designs people look at, and spot pages that are confusing or slow, so we can improve the site.
  • Website function: to keep the site fast and working, for example remembering your details if you leave a comment.

We don’t use cookies to show you ads, to follow you around other websites, or to sell information about you.

Microsoft cookies used by Clarity

Clarity also reads or sets these cookies on Microsoft’s own domains (third-party cookies):

CookieWhat it doesHow long it lasts

MUIDIdentifies your browser across Microsoft services1 year

Website function cookies

CookieSet byWhat it doesHow long it lasts
comment_author_*WordPressOnly if you leave a comment and tick “save my details”: remembers your name and email for next time1 year
_lscache_varyLiteSpeed CacheOnly for logged-in users and commenters: makes sure you see the right version of a pageSession
wordpress_*, wp-settings-*WordPressOnly for our own staff when logged in to manage the siteSession to 1 year

Ordinary visitors who don’t comment or log in only get the analytics cookies above.

4. Other tracking we use

Jetpack Stats counts page views using a small web beacon (a tiny invisible image), not a cookie. It records basic information like the page you viewed, your browser and your approximate location, which Automattic processes for us.

Microsoft Clarity session replays and heatmaps show us anonymous clicks, taps and scrolling so we can fix confusing pages. Text you type into forms is masked and never recorded.

Facebook, Google Maps, YouTube and our other social links are plain links. They don’t set cookies until you click through to their sites, where their own cookie policies apply.

5. How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies anytime. The site still works; we just won’t count your visit.

  • Change your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete cookies when you close the browser. Look under Settings → Privacy (or Privacy and security) in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge or Samsung Internet.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google’s free browser add-on.
  • Use private or incognito mode. Cookies are deleted when you close the window.

Blocking cookies on one browser or device doesn’t block them on your others, so repeat the steps on each one you use.

For how we handle the rest of your personal information, read our Privacy Policy.

6. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when we add, remove or change a tool that sets cookies, for example if we add online ordering. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
