Design tips
What to Put on a Baptism Cake
Not sure what to write or add? Most christening cakes have three things: a message, a symbol and your color theme.
- The message: your baby’s name and the christening date. Short works best: “God bless [name]”, “Welcome to God’s family, [name]” or “[Name]’s Christening”.
- A symbol: a cross, rosary, dove, angel wings or an open Bible. For a softer look, add baby booties, a teddy bear, clouds or a moon and stars.
- Colors: white and gold is classic for boys and girls. Pastel pink or lavender for baby girls, baby blue for baby boys, and sage green or cream if you'd rather go neutral.
- One tier or two? A 1-tier cake is enough for a family lunch. Choose a 2-tier christening cake for a reception, or if you're celebrating the 1st birthday on the same day: one tier for the christening, one for the birthday.
- Soft icing or fondant? Soft icing tastes lighter and costs less. Fondant gives smooth edges and neat figures. Many parents mix them: a soft icing cake with fondant toppers.
- Twins or siblings? One cake can carry both names. Ask us about a 2-tier cake with one tier for each child.
Have a baptism cake idea of your own? Send it over and we'll work out the details with you.
Planning the whole reception? Our dessert buffet packages start at ₱5,000.

Yes. A 2-tier cake works best, with one tier for the christening and one for the birthday. Add a bento cake if you’re planning a cake smash.
A 6-inch mini cake is enough for a small family lunch. For a reception, go for an 8″ × 4″ round cake or a 2-tier christening cake. Tell us your guest count and we’ll suggest a size.
In the UK and Ireland, a traditional christening cake is a rich fruit cake covered in white icing. In the Philippines, most families choose a white or pastel soft icing cake with a cross, angel or the baby’s name.
