A letter cake is a cake cut in the shape of a letter, usually the celebrant’s initial. At Sestra’s we make two styles: cream tart letter cakes (layers of cake and piped cream topped with fresh flowers, fruit or chocolates) and soft icing letter cakes covered in swirls and toppers.
Yes. Letter cake, alphabet cake and initial cake all mean a cake shaped like a letter. A monogram cake usually means two or three initials together, often for couples.
At Sestra’s, a regular 10-inch letter cake is ₱1,000, in soft icing or cream tart style. Each extra letter is another ₱1,000, so two initials are ₱2,000. Fondant toppers and figures cost ₱500 to ₱3,000 extra depending on the detail. Message us your design for an exact quote.
It depends on the letter, since an “I” has less cake than an “M” or “W”. Tell us your guest count on Messenger and we’ll tell you if one letter is enough or if you should add another letter or cake.
Yes. Each letter is its own cake on its own board, decorated to match. Short names and initials are the most popular. For longer names, we can do the initials as letters and the full name in piping.
